1. Inspect the Roof & Seals
Heavy rain, debris, and fluctuating temps can crack roof seals or cause leaks. Carefully inspect all seams, vents, and skylights for damage or separation. Reseal as needed with RV-safe caulking products.
2. Flush and Sanitize Your Water System
If your RV’s been in storage, flushing and sanitizing your freshwater system is a must. This includes your hot water heater, faucets, and holding tanks. Not sure how? Many local RV service shops offer this as a seasonal package.
3. Check Tires for Wear and Pressure
RV tires often lose pressure in the off-season. Look for dry rot, flat spots, or uneven tread wear. Don’t forget to check your spare and torque the lug nuts before heading out.

Spring is a common time for dead batteries—especially after cold storage. Test your voltage, clean terminals, and inspect the shore power connection. Check lights, fans, outlets, and appliances.
5. Examine Brakes and Bearings
Brakes can rust or seize when unused. Have them inspected and repacked with fresh grease if needed. This is critical for trailers and fifth wheels.
6. Fire Up Propane and Appliances
Make sure your stove, fridge, and water heater are firing up properly. Always test propane lines for leaks using a solution of soapy water.
7. Clean the Interior and Exterior
